Uncertainty particularly around energy prices has not diminished, which is likely to delay a sustained global economic recovery. The European Central Bank raised its key interest rates slightly in mid-June. However, it subsequently indicated that it is unlikely to tighten monetary policy further given the backdrop of reduced inflation risks. In the United States, the Federal Reserve has held its interest rates unchanged since the beginning of 2026.
